PARTNERSHIPS AND MOBILIZATION OF RESOURCES
The Forum intends to diversify its partnerships and resources, taking advantage of its recognized constitutional role of player and coordinator of the on-going democratic process.
There has been reinforced parternships with the other institutions, in particular the Senate where the Forum designated, according to is constitutional prerogatives, 4 senators, 2 of whom are women. The Forum maintains close collaboration with the National Electoral Commission, the National Unity and Reconciliation Commission, the Office of the Ombudsman, the Organizations of Civil Society, as well as partnerships with universities. These universities send to the Forum coordinators of lecture-discussions and training courses, or else they request access to the Political Documentation Centre and support in the supervision of their students.
Concerning the mobilization of resources, the Forum has an important potential in terms of human resources which it contributes regularly:
-
The staff of the Executive Secretariat, though small in number, has complementary qualifications and experience profiles. In addition, the flexibility of its organizational structure enables it to enlist various competences (consultants, temporary and contractual), if need be.
-
Member Political Organizations whose members at different levels may be requested by the Secretariat of the Forum to organize and coordinate collective actions
With regard to financial resources, the Forum receives a Government grant for its functioning. It has also financial partnerships, particularly with the European Union (EU), for its training programmes.
